CYLCH MEITHRIN TŶ’R CYMRY June 2015

The next few weeks at Cylch are going to be very busy – here are some dates for your diary:plant

Estyn Inspection – Next Wednesday and Thursday (June 10th & 11th) the Cylch will be inspected by Estyn. We would like to wish the staff well and also thank them for all their hard work and preparations for the inspection. If you would like further details of what the inspection entails please feel free to have a chat with Rhian Harry, Cylch Leader.

*Cylch / Ti a fi Summer Trip – Due to a clash with the Sports day at Ysgol Mynydd Bychan, we have changed the date of our annual trip to Barry Island to Wednesday July 1st. All other arrangements remain the same – we will meet at Cathays Station at 9.30am in order to catch the 9.45am train to Barry Island.

Annual General Meeting & Parents Evening – This year our AGM will be held at 7pm on Thursday July 9th. Following the AGM there will be an opportunity for parents to see their children’s work and have a chat with the staff. Jo Knell from ‘Cant a Mil’ will be here with a book stall, and there will be drinks and nibbles. If you would like to book a specific time to chat to Rhian, please feel free to do so.

Last day of term Friday July 17th. There will be a party for the children on the last morning at 11.30am. Everyone welcome.

IMPORTANT Arrangements for September:

Please could you let us know as soon as possible which session you would like for your child.

Staffing – We are hoping to appoint an additional member of staff to start at the Cylch in September. Candidates must have a Level 3 Childcare qualification and must be fluent Welsh speakers. If you know of anyone who may be interested please could you ask them to contact the Cylch as soon as possible. Thank you.

Equipment Request – If you have any items relating to cars, garages, builders yard, or kitchen, that you no longer need Cylch woud be very grateful for donations. Please could you bring any items to Cylch by Monday June 8th.

Fees – As you are aware, we are totally dependant on fees to meet our costs such as rent and staffing. Please could you ensure that all outstanding fees are paid in full by Friday July 10th.

As of September 2015 we will no longer be distributing printed copies of newsletters etc. Our aim is to keep in touch electronically. This will minimise cost to the Cylch and will hopefully be a more efficient method of letting parents know of any events etc. If you have not already provided your email address, please could you do so before the end of term.

Diolch yn fawr – Pwyllgor Cylch Meithrin Tŷ’r Cymry
